Have you installed an original BMW E46 M3 CSL trunk lid or a high-quality aftermarket trunk lid and want to upgrade the license plate lighting to modern LED technology?

With the MW LED adapter cable including 2 original BMW LED license plate lights, you get a matched set for properly connecting the license plate lighting electrically when converting the trunk lid.

On the standard trunk lid of the BMW E46 and M3, the license plate lights are located in the handle strip. When converting to the original BMW E46 M3 CSL trunk lid or a high-quality aftermarket trunk lid, this handle strip is omitted. Instead, the license plate lights are integrated directly into the trunk lid.

Due to the changed arrangement of the license plate lighting, the vehicle wiring harness's original connector is no longer suited to the new installation position.

The specially developed MW LED adapter cable allows the two original BMW LED license plate lights to be connected electrically without resorting to improvised wiring solutions.

The original BMW E46 M3 CSL was equipped from the factory exclusively with conventional license plate lights with festoon bulbs. The BMW E46 M3 CSL was not available with factory-fitted LED license plate lighting.

This set is therefore explicitly a modern LED retrofit solution and not a factory BMW E46 M3 CSL equipment variant.

We use only wires meeting BMW GS 95007-1, Bosch 5 998 343, DIN EN 13602 and ISO 6722 standards, as well as original connectors and contact pins from original equipment suppliers, component manufacturers or vehicle manufacturers.
